A fun and engaging way to support early phonics. These dry-wipe activity books focus on the single letter sounds and digraphs and trigraphs taught in Phase 2 and Phase 3 phonics.

▶ Who is it suitable for?
This book is part of our Stage 2 range, designed to support the skills and learning objectives typically introduced in Reception in UK primary schools.
At Hare & Tortoise Learning, we follow a “stage not age” approach because every child learns differently and develops at their own pace. Some children may be ready earlier, while others benefit from taking a little more time.
▶ What will my child learn?
Children will explore single letter sounds starting with s a t p i n which is the most common sequence when learning phonics. They will learn to recognise and apply their learning through engaging activities.
Children will explore digraphs (two letters making one sound) and trigraphs (three letters making one sound) taught in Phase 3 from the Letters and Sounds programme. They will learn to recognise and apply their learning through engaging activities.
▶ What activities are inside?
- Meet a fun, alliterative character linked to the focus sound
- Trace and practise letter formation
- Search for hidden focus sound within the illustration
- Identify which picture represents the sound
- Read a word including the focus sound and circle the correct picture
- Look at the picture and write the word including the focus sound

- One full A4 page for each grapheme (written sound)
